Health & Safety

The safety and welfare of your staff and our operatives is the most important consideration when carrying out any roofing works.

Risk assessments are carried out and a method statement produced to show how the work will be carried out.

The use of Load bearing scaffolding, Hand Rail scaffold, Safety netting, crane’s, tele handlers, staging’s and harnesses are just some of the safety equipment that can be utilised. To access roofs safely Scissor lifts and Cherry pickers are commonly used. These are known as mobile elevated Work Platform’s (MEWP’S).

Our operatives have been on the IPAF (International Powered Access Federation) powered access training programme and hold the PAL Card (Powered Access Licence) which is the most widely held and recognised proof of training for MEWP operators.

We are also able to provide a range of permanent safety products to suit your particular requirements on either pitched or flat roof locations. These include ridge or wire systems and man anchors to which safety harnesses can be attached. Permanent handrails and walkway systems can be used on pitched or flat roofs to designate areas where it is safe to walk. The products are designed to remain in position to provide safe access for any persons carrying out any future maintenance; for example servicing of the vents, air conditioning or gutter cleaning.
